Manual Condition

The Manual Condition tool allows users to create a new condition with capsules selected using one of two methods. Users can pick out individual capsules from another condition and copy them over or create an entirely new capsule by picking a time range.

Using the Manual Condition Tool

Selecting Existing Capsules: If you are selecting individual capsules from an existing condition use the search tools and make sure that your conditions of interest are displayed in the Worksheet. To add individual capsules to your new manual condition either click on the capsules in the trend or click the "+" icon next to that capsule's row in the Capsules table. You can remove a capsule by unselecting it or clicking on the “x” adjacent to the capsule listed in the manual Condition Tool or the "-" icon in the Capsules table.

Manually Specify Capsules: You can also manually specify the start and end times of a capsules to be added to your manual condition. In the trend, click and drag to highlight your time range of interest. The start and end times of your range will be displayed in the tool and you can adjust them before adding the capsule to your condition. This action can be performed many times in a single condition. You can remove a manual capsule by clicking on the “x” adjacent to the capsule listed in the manual condition tool.

Available outside this analysis: Checking this box will allow this condition to be used in other workbench analysis and topics. It will be available for all Seeq users and will display in their search results. Consider using a unique name as the condition will be published to the global name space.

Execute: Once all the capsules are selected clicking Execute will create the manual condition

Example Uses

You would like to identify the 5 fastest unit startups and store them in a manual condition for future reference. The “Startup” mode may be identified using any number of other Seeq tools which produce a condition. Then you would first order the condition by duration and select the 5 capsules with the shortest duration. This manual condition may be handy when trying to understand how all future startups could be that fast.
